John Mabry is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by less than 2% of all Texas attorneys. John has been Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell as having a “very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.” He was named a “Rising Star” in 2004 and 2005 by Thomson Reuters in TexasMonthly's Texas Super Lawyers editions, and was recognized in 2005 as a “Champion of Justice” by Texas Watch. John is admitted to practice in Texas state courts and the United States District Court, Western District of Texas. He is a member of the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association and is a past director of the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.
Before John formed the Mabry Lewis Law Firm, L.L.P. in 2011, he was a partner at Dunnam & Dunnam, L.L.P., one of Waco’s oldest and most respected law firms. John joined the Dunnam firm in 1998 and became a partner in 2006. He began his law career in 1995 at Touchstone, Bernays, Johnston, Beall & Smith, L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas as an insurance defense lawyer.
Mabry also served as a State Representative from McLennan County in the Texas House of Representatives. In an open ballot election, the 150 member Texas House selected Rep. Mabry as one of two "Co-Freshmen Members of the Year" of the 78th Legislature from the 37 member freshmen class. He was also recognized as one of the “Top 5 Freshmen” by Capitol Inside online political magazine. While in the Legislature, Rep. Mabry was a member of the House Committee on Corrections and the House Committee on Defense Affairs & State-Federal Relations.
John attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he majored in Sociology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1992. Following graduation, he was accepted to Baylor Law School where he made the Dean’s List, was elected Mid-Law Class President, and was a member of the Baylor Law School Honor Council and Christian Legal Society. John graduated from Baylor Law School in July 1995 with a concentration in general civil litigation.
John is married to Stephanie Dunnam Mabry and they live in Waco with their two children.

John L. Lewis has been protecting the rights of Central Texans, as well as clients throughout the United States, since he began his legal career in 1998. John is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and is a member of the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association. John focuses his practice on general litigation as well as real estate and probate matters. He was formerly a licensed real estate agent by the Texas Real Estate Commission. John’s legal experience runs the gamut from representing individuals against major corporations to representing several of Central Texas’ major banks. As a testament to John’s legal acumen, he has been retained on numerous occasions by fellow attorneys to assist them with their cases.
John is a native Central Texan and graduated from Waco High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi in 1995 and a Juris Doctorate degree from Baylor Law School in 1998.
John and his wife, Ginna, and their daughters, Caroline and Margaret, live in Waco, Texas where they are active members of the community and their church.
